Changing Service Prices Without Changing History

Services contain current pricing information, and property or service assignments may have their own applicable pricing.

Billing Manager preserves historical transaction and document snapshots. Changing today's price does not rewrite old Charges, finalized Invoices, Statements, or other posted history.

Update current or future pricing

  1. Review the current Service.
  2. Update current or future pricing through the supported Service or property-assignment workflow.
  3. Save the changes.
  4. Verify that future billing uses the intended price.
  5. Do not try to change historical posted activity by editing the current Service price.
Historical correction: If an old posted transaction is itself wrong, use the supported correction or reversal workflow. Changing the current Service price is not a historical financial correction.
