Move Billing Manager to Another Computer
Use Billing Manager's supported backup and restore workflow to move business data safely.
Move the installation and data
- Create a current database backup on the old computer.
- Install Billing Manager on the new computer.
- Install or import the existing valid Billing Manager license file.
- Restore the database backup on the new computer.
- Confirm the Company Profile, Customers, billing history, and settings.
- Review printer and email settings because computer-specific settings may need attention.
- Keep a safe backup copy until the new installation is confirmed.
License use
Billing Manager does not use an activation server or hardware-bound activation and does not require a constant internet connection. The existing valid license file can be reused within its license terms, including use on up to two computers for the same licensed business. No activation reset is required.
Important: Some settings that depend on the Windows computer, printer, or email environment may need to be reviewed after moving. Do not rely on copying random application folders instead of the supported database backup and restore process.
