Billing Manager is Windows desktop software with a perpetual license and no monthly subscription.

Install and license Billing Manager

  1. Run the supplied Billing Manager installer.
  2. Open the Billing Manager license file supplied with your purchase.
  3. Start Billing Manager and confirm that your licensed business information appears correctly.

Billing Manager validates its license offline. It does not require a constant internet connection, an activation server, hardware-bound activation, or a machine fingerprint.

Computers, reinstallations, and replacements

One license allows Billing Manager to be used on up to two computers for the same licensed business. Reinstalling Windows does not require another purchase, and replacing a computer does not require an activation reset. Your existing valid license information can be resent by RivetLark after the purchase is verified.

Restricted Mode

If Billing Manager cannot find or validate a current license, it can enter Restricted Mode. Restricted Mode is designed to preserve access to existing business information and recovery functions while preventing new financial transactions from being posted until a valid license is installed.

Advanced troubleshooting: Billing Manager stores the installed license in your Windows local application data at %LOCALAPPDATA%\BillingManager\License\BillingManager.bfl. Do not edit the license file.
